MODESTO -- A federal grand jury in Fresno has indicted a Modesto man on a single count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
According to court documents, a traffic stop and subsequent search on March 23 revealed that Luis Miguel Villalobos, 19, possessed 6½ pounds of methamphetamine concealed in the vehicle. Villalobos is scheduled to be arraigned today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Dennis Beck in Fresno.
If convicted, he faces a maximum statutory penalty of life in prison. The actual sentence would be determined at the discretion of the court after considering any applicable factors and federal sentencing guidelines.
