PATTERSON -- A 22-year-old Patterson man died after he crashed his car into railroad tracks at Highway 33 north of Patterson.
The California Highway Patrol said the driver of a 1995 Toyota Celica heading east on Rogers Road drove through a stop sign shortly before midnight Friday. The car continued across the highway, hit the railroad tracks and rolled over onto its roof.
The driver, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, the CHP says.
