Below is a searchable database to the full vaccination dataset at public and private schools in Stanislaus, Merced, San Joaquin and Tuolumne counties. The state surveys all schools with at least 10 kindergartners to determine how many have all the recommended immunizations.
Sacramento AP reporter Hannah Dreier analyzed state records and found children at private schools are far more likely to opt out of vaccinations than public school children. And, while vaccination opt-outs at public schools leveled off last year, they continued rising at private schools, despite a whooping cough outbreak.
You can search by city. The database shows the percentage of the school's kindergarten students who are up-to-date on their vaccinations. Also, it breaks down the percentage of students who are up to date in their DTP, Polio and Hepatitis B vaccinations. Click on "Details" for more information about a particular school, including percentages for MMR vaccinations and Personal Belief Exemptions.
