Blaze strikes Modesto home

MODESTO -- Crews with the Modesto Regional Fire Authority responded Saturday afternoon to a blaze involving trash and possibly a vacant home on South Santa Cruz Avenue near the E.&J. Gallo Winery in Modesto.

Further information on the fire was not available Saturday evening. Earlier Saturday, the Modesto Regional Fire Authority responded to an attic fire on Wright Street just east of Virginia Avenue.
