An altercation at a bar. Four men take it outside. A fight starts. One man pulls a gun and shoots at one of his opponents four times; in the process, he shoots and kills his partner. All this took place July 22.
Almost two months have passed and I've yet to hear that anybody has been charged.
Does it really take this long for an investigation? Was the victim who was shot four times armed? Did the shooter have the opportunity to flee? If so, then he cannot claim self-defense. How difficult is this to figure out? Does our district attorney have anything to say about why this is taking so long? Better yet, does she have anything to say at all? Does MPD hope everyone will just forget about it and it will go away?
