Two men stabbed at Waterford liquor store

— Two men were stabbed Sunday afternoon at a Yosemite Boulevard liquor store, and sheriff's deputies arrested a third man.

The two men are expected to recover from their wounds. One was taken to a hospital, and the other declined medical treatment, according to a Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department news release.

The incident took place about 4:40 p.m. at Creekside Liquor Bait & Tackle in the 12000 block of Yosemite.

Sheriff's officials had limited information Sunday evening about the incident, but a store clerk said five young men were fighting in the parking lot when two of them were stabbed.

Deputies developed information leading to the identity of a suspect and arrested Timothy Riddle, 22, at his Waterford home, according to the news release.

Riddle was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
