Orquesta Dharma

Founded in 2008 by California State University, Stanislaus, jazz faculty member Jamie Dubberly, Orquesta Dharma performs Afro-Cuban jazz. The group's debut album, "Road Warrior," was selected as the 2011 Next Generation Latin Jazz Album of the Year by Latin jazz blog Latin Jazz Corner and has received great reviews from allaboutjazz.com, Latin Beat magazine, Sirius/XM radio host Dermot Hussey and salsa/Latin jazz DJs around the world.

Extravaganza The Center for Human Services presents its 26th annual Edible Extravaganza. Sample signature dishes and wines from more than 60 restaurants and wineries. The event includes tastings from local caterers, bakers, confectioners and growers. There also will be two stages of live music. Proceeds benefit Center for Human Services programs, including Hutton House shelter for youth, Friday Night Live (youth substance abuse prevention), youth court, community counseling and more.

Tony Bennett Crooner Tony Bennett, 86, built his lengthy career on singing American standards, show tunes and jazz hits. His signature song is "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" and he also is known for "Rags to Riches." He performs at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys with 12-year-old classical crossover star Jackie Evancho. Bennett performed the opening concert at the Gallo Center for the Arts in 2007.

Twain Harte film fest Film Fest Twain Harte features films from throughout the world, including documentaries and student projects. Conjunto Primavera Conjunto Primavera is one of the most popular groups in the conjunto genre. From Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, the band was founded in 1978 and achieved fame in the 1990s and 2000s for its gold-selling recordings and Latin Grammy nominations.

Metal and 'Stone' Formed in 1986, Prong created its hard-core metal sound in New York City. The group was signed to Epic Records at the end of the decade and became known for the song "Snap Your Fingers Snap Your Neck." Prong disbanded for a time in the late 1990s and early 2000s but is now back together and has released the new album "Carved into Stone."

It's 'November' Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet ("Glengarry Glen Ross") skewers the presidential election process in his comedy "November." The play centers on an unpopular incumbent president who is struggling to win an election. "This play is rich with meaning and lessons for us about money and politics and sexual identity and myth and graft and naked, slavering, needy, greedy ambition," says Michael Crich, who stars as the president.
