How do you show your school spirit?
Brooke Anderson, Junior, Ceres High School
I show my school spirit along with the rest of the school by dressing up in our school colors (red and white) every Friday. Also, I try to go to every football or basketball game to support our teams. My school exemplifies spirit in many ways, and it makes going to school that much more enjoyable. Go Bulldogs!
Tryn Brown, Junior, Modesto High School
School spirit is huge at Modesto High, and especially on our rally days we all go crazy! Everyone dresses up in weird, bright clothes and gets really pumped up. A lot of people even dye their hair red! At Modesto High we sing our school anthem at every occasion possible just to show everyone how much we love our school.
Dominique Germann, Senior, Central Valley High School
My favorite way to show school spirit is when I wear my FFA jacket to competitions and conferences all over California, sporting the name of my school, Central Valley.
Gabriella Germann, Freshman, Central Valley High School
My favorite way to show school spirit will probably be wearing my glitter Central Valley sweater I got for my eighth-grade graduation. Thank you, Emily and Sawyer!
Maggie White, Senior, Valley Charter High School
I'm not really one to throw on a bunch of glitter and face paint, but I used to be in leadership and I still like to encourage people to be involved and go to school events, like dances and movie nights.
Alicia Rorabaugh, Senior, Johansen High School
When I came to Johansen, I had no purple in my closet. Now as a senior, I feel like I have no other colors! Whether it be hoodies, shirts, crazy socks, Converses, swimsuits or tennis outfits, everyone knows who will be dressed up supporting their school on Fridays!
Martin Cepeda, Freshman, Pitman High School
School spirit? Uh of course I have school spirit! I mean, I go to the games and cheer for my school. It's just that I haven't been able to yet, since it's only the beginning of the year. But I will soon. PITMAN PRIDE!
Taylor Menezes, Junior, Central Catholic High School
I show my school spirit by wearing CCHS spirit shirts when we have Jean Days on Friday. I not only try to look the part, but I also try to always exemplify school spirit by being a responsible, spiritual and informed citizen, and when people ask where I go to school, I proudly say, "Central Catholic High School."
Pauline Cepeda, Junior, Pitman High School
Although I'm not one to dress up in flashy outfits or spray paint my hair silver every week, I like to think I have school spirit sorta.
Anna Fogarty, Junior, Central Catholic High School
I show my school spirit whenever I put on my school polo. I represent my school anytime I make a stop on the way home before changing.
Toshali Katyal, Sophomore, Modesto High School
Although there are many ways to show school spirit, one way I personally show it is by bringing a positive attitude to school every day! Dressing up for spirit days and homecomings to support my school is another way I show spirit at school. Being a leadership student, we put in many hours to organize events for school, and we always strive to set an example for others to also follow. After all, being involved in our school activities is the best way to enjoy school and have fun!
Julie Fogarty, Sophomore, Central Catholic High School
I show school spirit by participating in spirit days and cheering on my school in the local newspaper. GO RAIDERS!
