Regarding "Rats everywhere" (Aug. 23, Page A-1): We live in North Modesto near Carver and Rumble roads.
A few months ago I learned we had rats in the back yard. So far I have trapped and killed 47 rats, most from the upper rail of the fence between our lots.
I believe they are all over the city and if more people would trap or kill them we could reduce their number and the potential harm they do.
