A judge on Thursday postponed an arraignment hearing for Riverbank City Councilman Jesse James White, who earlier this month was ordered to stand trial. He's accused of drunken driving and causing injury to his 4-year-old son after authorities say he crashed his Corvette in Oakdale and ran away.
White's arraignment hearing was scheduled to continue Sept. 21.
The councilman faces three felony charges: driving under the influence causing injury, DUI with a blood alcohol content of 0.24 percent causing injury and child endangerment. A blood alcohol content of 0.24 percent is three times the legal limit. White also has been charged with three misdemeanor counts: hit-and-run causing injury, hit-and-run causing property damage and resisting an officer. He remains free on bail as he awaits his trial.
