Zack Johnson

QB, Calaveras

Gives ’Skins versatility (1,100 yards, 8 TDs) to go with the stretch run game. Had career-high 287 yards (16 of 31) in playoff loss, so he can bring Calaveras back.

Colton Merriman

RB/DB, Argonaut

Third-year starter has a 4.5 40-yard time to go with 6-foot, 195-pound frame. Was No. 2 RB on team, yet still piled up 1,198 yards and 20 TDs on his 127 carries.

Jesse Acedo

OL/DL, Bret Harte

A key component on a pair of big, athletic and experienced lines, he’s crucial because ’Frogs — like rest of league — usually win or lose by running the football.

Andrew Lewis

RB, Linden

Hit 1,000 yards before injury ended season after seven games — and Lions lost three of final four. He ran for 288 yards, 4 TDs in win vs. Ripon Christian.

Rodney Riner

OL/DL, Bret Harte

Three of five losses in 2011 by combined six points; a first down here or there, and the ’Frogs were 8-2. The 230-pound Riner will help solve that issue.
