The frightening events that occurred at Penn State should serve as a warning to anyone involved in youth organizations, including Boy Scouts. Young boys and young men are especially vulnerable to the advances of older men who are in a position of power and influence.
How can the president question the rules and regulations of the Boy Scouts? What gives him the right to reject the policy of the Boy Scouts that does not allow gay men into their organization?
Young boys must be protected from predators. I think our president should be concerned about the safety of young boys and voice his approval of any measures that protect members of the Boy Scouts.
