Now that candidate Mitt Romney has attached himself to Rep. Paul Ryan, he has also adopted Ryan's economic plan for the future. On April 5, 2011, Ryan released "The Path to Prosperity." Ryan wants to replace the current Medicare plan with a voucher system so that seniors can buy the health plan of their choice.

Here's the catch: This voucher would never come close to paying for a plan that most American seniors could afford. Yes, you would have choices, but you would never be able to pay for these choices.

This voucher plan would save taxpayers billions of dollars, but the money saved would go directly to the wealthiest corporations and individuals because Ryan's plan also lowers the highest tax rate to 25 percent, the lowest since Herbert Hoover was president.

Even Newt Gingrich called Ryan's plan "right-wing social engineering."

The Romney-Ryan ticket is dangerous to seniors and future seniors for generations to come.
