Turlock man arrested in beer theft

Turlock police arrested a 29-year-old man on a burglary charge for allegedly partaking of someone else's beer.

According to police reports, neighbors saw Jeremy Gardner, 29, crawl under an open garage door in the 400 block of Persimmon Road.

He took a beer from a refrigerator in the garage and drank half of it. He left the bottle behind and ran away.

Officers found him trying to get into a back yard on Medeiros Road. Neighbors identified him and he was taken into custody.

The incident happened Tuesday at 9:15 a.m.
