Regarding the alleged folly of ethanol: Time magazine profiled Brazil as nearly weaning itself off oil in the last 20 years. Eighty percent of its energy needs come from biofuels, mostly ethanol. No one's going hungry there, and no one's sons are dying in the sand for oil.
Brazil has just quietly changed the entire country's fortune and future. It took time, but it took.
Enough fear-mongering from oil companies and farmers. Let's commit to our country's fortune and future too; we can do no less.
