DELAYS, DETOURS FOR WEEK AHEAD
Paving on G Street in downtown Modesto begins today, with one lane open from Ninth Street to 14th Street. The work should be done Aug. 23.
Traffic will be slow for a couple of weeks heading north on McHenry Avenue and turning right on Briggsmore Avenue.
Work continues on Highway 99 lanes and ramps from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. Drivers should expect 30-minute delays.
Delays are anticipated from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Carpenter Road Bridge for a seismic retrofit project.
Traffic controls and lane restrictions are in place on Normandy, Picardy and Lombardy drives and Barberry Lane from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for installation of a water main.
Traffic on Sylvan Avenue from Hashem Drive to Coffee Road is subject to intermittent lane shifts from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The northboundNo. 2 lane on Coffee Road will be closedfrom 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Floyd Avenue for construction of a right-turn lane. Work also will take place along Floyd's shoulder.
Claratina Avenue will be closed from Coffee to Oakdale roads to allow Pacific Gas & Electric Co. to conduct gas main testing. Additionally, Coffee Road's southbound No. 1 lane will be closed south of Sylvan Avenue.
Calle de Rosas, Calle de Flores, North Morton Boulevard, H and Ninth streets, Cliff Drive and Jenny Street are subject to intermittent lane shifts from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a sewer rehabilitation project.
Dale Road from Bangs to Standiford avenues is subject to lane closures for a gas main replacement project.
