Government must focus on jobs

The rhetoric of which candidate or party will "fix" the economy, thus creating jobs, is moot. Business suffered a setback when lenders pushed the envelope a half-dozen years ago and got seriously bitten. We all agree on that. OK, business screwed up. They had help from the government to be sure, inadvertently or not, starting several administrations before this all took place.

But here is my point: Business has to be supported and brought healthy for jobs to come back. No matter what we think of business, for an administration or a Congress to help jobs return, they must enact laws that bolster business. The people of this great land have been yelling at Congress and the president that it's about jobs since we elected them. What have they focused on instead? Green promotion and health care, and government support of those out of work — noble things, yes, but nothing that returns us all to meaningful work.

Our government needs to do what it takes to make business healthy. We need to change the party in power to one that will focus on the jobs.
