The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department continued with its investigations but released no other details regarding two shootings over the weekend that left two men dead and a woman critically injured.

Investigators had not positively identified the two Latinos who were found bound and shot to death Saturday morning in Del Puerto Canyon west of Patterson, Sgt. Anthony Bejaran said Sunday.

Authorities may have more information after autopsies are performed this afternoon.

Patterson firefighters responding to a 6:50 a.m. call for medical help found the men dead along a winding stretch of road about 10 miles west of Interstate 5. The firefighters called for sheriff's deputies, and detectives were working to determine what led to the shootings.

Authorities also were not releasing the name of a 45-year-old woman who was shot twice early Saturday during a home invasion several miles west of Turlock.

About 12:30 a.m., the woman was visiting relatives at a home on West Fulkerth Road, just west of Crows Landing Road, when three Latinos arrived and asked for a resident, who wasn't home.

One of the men fired a gun and the woman was struck by a bullet that went through a front window.

After she and other occupants of the home ran into a bedroom and shut the door, one of the men fired another gunshot, which went through the door and hit the woman. The men ransacked the home before leaving.

The woman was flown to a hospital, where she was in stable condition, Bejaran said.
