More than 900 teens and young adults had so much fun at Calvary Temple's The Bash in April that the church decided to hold a second one, said Micah Berteau, Calvary's pastor to youth and young adults.
"We just thought it would be great to show the youth in our community that you can have fun in a safe environment," he said. "We are going even bigger this time by bringing in one of Christian music's top rappers, Curvine, plus inflatable games, tons of food and a mechanical bull."
The Bash 2 will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 1601 Coffee Road, Modesto.
The event is especially for ages 11 to 29, and if 1,500 people show up, "I will shave my hair into a mullet," Berteau said.
Entrance and food is free; there are small fees for some of the carnival-type games, he said. The night also includes a raffle for gift cards and a $250 cash grand prize.
