MODESTO -- Seniors who have not received $20 in coupons to be used at farmers markets can do so Aug. 17 at the Tenth Street Place farmers market near Brenden Theatres in Modesto.
The coupon booklets will be available from 4 to 7 p.m. Recipients must be 60 or older, live in Stanislaus County and be low-income, (no more than $1,723 monthly income for one or $2,333 for a couple).
The coupons can be used to buy fruits, vegetables, honey and edible herbs at certified farmers markets.
