Nut storage expansion proposal to go before Stanislaus County planners

MODESTO -- Plans to expand an almond warehouse south of Hickman will go before Stanislaus County planning commissioners tonight.

Owners want to build four more nut storage buildings and an office on 41 acres at 3439 and 3443 Montpelier Road, northeast of Denair.

Commissioners will consider declaring that the expansion would not significantly affect the environment.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the basement chamber at Tenth Street Place, 1010 10th St., Modesto.
