OAKDALE -- The public can submit comments on the city's draft environmental impact report for its general plan update, two specific plan projects and a climate action plan.
The general plan update creates a framework for development and conservation in Oakdale over 20 years. The general plan guides decisions on such matters as land use, economic development, natural resources and public facilities and services.
The specific plans are for lands outside of city limits that have been identified as growth areas for the city.
The draft environmental review report and associated documents can be reviewed during normal business hours at the city clerk's office, 280 N. Third Ave. The documents are available for review at the Oakdale and downtown Modesto branches of the Stanislaus County Library, and they are available at www.ci.oakdale.ca.us/gp/Project_Documents.html.
The deadline for comments is 5 p.m. Sept. 17. Mail them to Community Development Department, 120 S. Sierra Ave., Oakdale, 95361 or e-mail gosner@ci.oakdale.ca.us.
