CSU employees should quit whining

Stop with the whiny California State University coverage. Or at least cover both sides. CSU is wanting to either raise student fees or cut classes. What it really wants is to increase income at any cost and by any method necessary. As a public school teacher who has taken many pay cuts, both direct cuts and by furlough or course eliminations, as well as increased costs of benefits, I'm tired of listening to this tripe.

What CSU wants desperately is to avoid our public school scenario. The CSU leaders will do or say anything that could result in a pay cut. Why can't the staff and faculty take a few pay cuts like the rest of us lowly schmoes? What makes them untouchable?

For those who've been to a college class, do you ever remember having a real teacher at the university level? The vast majority are lecturers. Do you really buy the pabulum that they wouldn't be able to fit teaching university courses into their busy schedule but for the meager money they receive? If that were all there was for them to do, they would still teach classes for less pay.

What else are they going to do for a living?
