MERCED -- Offramps and onramps on Highway 99 at Yosemite Park Way, which is also Highway 140, will be closed next week for road work, according to Caltrans.
The ramps will be closed starting Monday evening. The work will be done from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through this week.
Several ramps in the area have been closed for a few weeks. The northbound Highway 99 offramp to 16th Street has been closed for construction since July 10. Work there is scheduled to last until Sept. 16.
Ramps to southbound Highway 99 from G Street and the northbound onramp to the highway from Yosemite Park Way have been closed for work since July 5. Both ramps will be closed until May next year, Caltrans said.
Road work will close the east end of 16th Street in Merced starting today and lasting through Friday. The work will be done from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Resurfacing work will begin Monday on G Street. Work will be done from Park Avenue to 26th Street, according to the city's Facebook page, The Streets of Merced.
Plans call for disabled access ramps to be built and the street resurfaced.
Access into the Bear Creek Galleria shopping center will be limited.
The project is scheduled to be completed in September.
A little farther north, Yosemite Avenue at G Street is reopened. The heavily used street was closed so it could be widened.
The project is expected to be completed in August, according to the city.
