What a great idea: Join forces with the French company SNCF which built and operates a successful high-speed rail operation at a profit to develop our state's system. We don't need to re-invent the wheel. Makes total sense, right?
So of course the idea was rejected by our state's leaders, although I hate to call them leaders.
Though the idea for a train system seems ridiculous and unnecessary in the first place, considering all the other problems our state faces, it passed and is going forward. So why not take our cues from a successful company who's been there, done that? As always politics and money.
