Girls water polo team wins Fresno event

The Modesto-Stanislaus Water Polo 16-and-under girls' team prepped for its upcoming national tournament by winning the Fresno Tournament, beating its three foes 38-15. Kyle Houck scored 12 goals, five in a 14-6 win over Hanford, while Emma Austin finished with six. The team, like many others from the Stanislaus District, will be in San Jose at the end of month for the Junior Olympic boys' and girls' tournaments.
