During the 2011-12 school year, I was fortunately selected to be a part of the Leadership Academy along with 29 other students from 21 high schools throughout the county. Seeing the many career opportunities was an invaluably enlightening experience. Thank you to Vicki Bauman and Jeri Trainer for their tireless efforts and endless energy in keeping the academy strong and growing. Also, thank you to the local community and business leaders who support the academy. This program is completely funded by donations and could not be possible without you.
Dan Costa donated his time to come speak to us about work ethic in business. I was one of just four students he asked about our career goals, and when I told him of my goal to become a criminal psychologist, he offered to take me along on one of his trips to FBI headquarters in Quantico, Va. It was an amazing and fun learning experience that has me on a straight path to my dream job.
