— Oakdale police are looking for a man suspected of robbing the Valero Corner Store at 1590 East F St., early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the business after a clerk said a man entered the store, flashed a small silver or chrome handgun and demanded money from the safe, according to Sgt. Joe Johnson of the Oakdale Police Department.

When she told the man she didn’t have access to the safe, he demanded cash from the register. He fled northeast through the parking lot with small amount of cash.

No shots were fired and nobody was injured, Johnson said. The clerk was the only one in the store.

The clerk said the alleged robber was in his mid-20s or early 30s, had a thin build and was wearing a blue hoodie, a black mask or bandana on the lower portion of his face and had sunglasses on.
