-- Modesto police are investigating a stabbing early Monday that left one man in stable condition with a wound to the chest.

At 4:20 a.m., officers were called to an area near Yosemite and North Morton boulevards near Dry Creek after a report that a man had been stabbed, according to police Lt. Scott Blom.

When officers arrived, they found a 29-year-old victim bleeding severely. He was taken to a hospital.

The suspects are described as a 5-foot-5 Latino man with a small build, brown hair and tattoos and a 6-foot-3 white man with long blond hair and a mustache.

Blom said the reason for the stabbing and information regarding it are under investigation.
