MODESTO -- A man who was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon for a municipal code violation of drinking in public never appeared before the judge because he was arrested in front of the courthouse for being drunk in public.
Ryan Michael Nunes, 36, walked into the courthouse but then turned around and walked out, according to Stanislaus Sheriff's Deputy Royjindar Singh.
Bailiffs noticed the man was clearly intoxicated and arrested him in front of the courthouse on suspicion of being drunk in public.
