Info: Connections Family Center's summer day camp is in full swing. The program includes games, arts and crafts, water play, field trips and more. • READ TO A DOG PROGRAM

When: Thursdays and some Saturdays in July

Where: Oakdale library, 151 S. First Ave.

Info: The Oakdale library will offer the Read to a Dog program, in which therapy dogs will be paired with independent readers for a 20-minute session during which each child can read a book to a dog. The dogs patiently listen as children read, which helps children build confidence in their reading ability and communication skills. Advance registration is required.
