• DOG PARK GRAND OPENING

Info: Bring your dog and enjoy the excitement of opening Modesto's first dog park with a ribbon cutting. Separatebig dog and little dog areas are fenced for off-leash play.

• McHENRY MUSEUM & HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING

When: June 26, 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Where: McHenry Museum, 1402 I St.

Info: Members will begin the evening with socialization, followed by an Italian Luau spaghetti dinner. The annual meeting business includes reports by the president, secretary, treasurer and cultural manager. Acquisitions, docents, guild, and press and publication support groups will report. The election of new and second-term board members, with appreciation to outgoing individuals, will be noted. Presentation of Historic Preservation Awards will be announced and acknowledged. Info: This event is being held by The Women's Leadership Council of the United Way of Stanislaus County, and it's open to women and men.
