Avoiding tumbleweed tragedy

I was driving South on 99 from Ripon last week and noticed the "Gusty Wind" warning sign. I didn't think much of it until a car swerved into my lane trying to avoid a tumbleweed blowing across the highway.

I hit the brakes and must have hit some dirt because my car went spinning across all three lanes of the freeway. I was facing oncoming traffic while spinning, and somehow, ended up on the shoulder of the freeway, with no injuries or damage to my vehicle.

Do not be frightened of tumbleweeds; they are no reason to take another driver's life!
