Public employee pensions too high

I have no sympathy for any public employee who will have retirement pay that is two or more times greater than my yearly salary. My family are farmers, the single most important profession in the entire world. Without ag, there would be no civilization. We have been in the same place for nearly 100 years and I make $40,000 per year and will have worked 70 years before I retire with no IRA, no medical, no paid leave — nothing but the support of my family in my last years.

I broke my back doing my job and neither expect nor want any help from the general public. You owe me nothing in that regard. Just remember, without people like me, people like you will starve to death.

So, to all those poor public employees who will receive only $60,000 for the rest of their lives, want to trade? Didn't think so.
