As a long-term member of the Riverbank Unified school board, I feel it is important to let citizens know that we do not have a "dysfunctional" school board. Do we disagree sometimes? Yes, but we are a team, a strong team. We are elected to do a job. And we're going to do that job.
If the school board position was a volunteer position, not one of us would back down from our responsibilities. I take offense to the June 10 editorial, "A troubled school district."
Like most school districts, we are fighting for our children's education. We will prevail. We're on top of the food chain — we're Bruins.
