Question of the Week: What's your favorite movie quote?

Spring/summer movie season is in full swing. What's your all-time favorite movie quote?

Martin Cepeda, Eighth Grade, Sacred Heart School Turlock My favorite movie quote would be "Bond. James Bond." Need I say more?

Julie Fogarty, Sophomore, Central Catholic High School My favorite movie quotes of all time are: "When I close my eyes, I see you for what you truly are — which is UGGLAY!" from "She's the Man," and the exchange "Inconceivable!" … "I don't think it means what you think it means," from "The Princess Bride." Those are great movies!

Patrick Germann, Senior, Central Valley High School "The Force is strong with you, young Skywalker. But you are not a Jedi yet." — Darth Vader, "The Empire Strikes Back." I always liked the way this line was delivered.

Dominique Germann, Junior, Central Valley High School I love movie quotes, so: "Regal, majestic, lovable, yes, yes, a cuddly face, that's me to a 'T' "(Disney's "Robin Hood") and, "I've got my own business to tend to, so y'all mind your own!" ("The Help").

Melodie Powell, MJC Student Though I consider all lines from the Muppet movies to be pure gold, there is one that will always stay close to my heart. My brother used to always quote Gonzo's "Muppet Treasure Island" line, "I'm not Jimmy-Jim-Jimmy-Jim-Jim-Jim-Jim, he's Jimmy-Jim-Jimmy-Jim-Jim-Jim-Jim." Repetitive exposure has caused the line to become pretty much my all-time favorite. Muppet lines never get old, they just get funnier.

Emily Hoeksema, Junior, Ripon Christian High School There are so many epic movie quotes to choose from! There's the classic "It's a gift … and a curse," from "Monk," or there's, ahem, Captain Jack Sparrow pointing out to Will, "If you were waiting for the opportune moment, that was it." Another favorite Jack quote is this: "She's safe, just like I promised. She's all set to marry Norrington, just like she promised. And you get to die for her, just like you promised. So we're all men of our word, really … except for, of course, Elizabeth, who is in fact, a woman." These are just a few of my favorite quotes, but there are so many more!

Victoria Lee Powell, MJC Student Even though my siblings and I never fail to pull out a Muppets quote, my favorite quote actually comes from "Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin." When Christopher Robin is telling Pooh that they won't always be together, he tells Pooh to always remember, "You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." I was obsessed with Pooh when I was younger, and this quote helped me to always believe in myself. I'm still a Pooh fan, even to this day.
