PUEBLO, Colo. -- Oakdale High graduate John Brunk, a junior at Chico State, earned all-America honors by scoring 7,0549 points and placing fourth in the decathlon at the NCAA Division ll Track & Field Championships in Pueblo, Colo., this weekend. Teammate J. Patrick Smith won the event. Brunk finished in the top three in five of the 10 events: first in the 400 and 1,500 meters, third in the 100, long jump and pole vault.
