MJC basketball back in action

The Modesto Junior College basketball teams, both trying to earn berths in the Northern California Playoffs, need victories this week to close the regular season. The good news for the Pirates is that they will be home both tonight and Thursday night. The women (13-12, 4-8) will try to avenge an earlier loss to Diablo Valley (9-16, 4-8) tonight at 5:30. The MJC men (17-10, 6-6) will be challenged by one of the region's best teams in second-place DVC (22-4, 9-3) at 7:30.
