Sylvan trustees take up budgets, school boundaries

Sylvan Union School District trustees will hear budget-related reports and discuss moving school boundaries at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the district boardroom, 605 Sylvan Ave.

The suggested boundary changes, which are for discussion only, would shift some students from Sherwood, Sanders and-or Freedom elementary schools to other campuses. To see the proposals, visit http://bit.ly/Sylvanscenarios.

In financial reports, the board will be asked to accept an audit of the prior fiscal year and look ahead to planning a budget for 2012-13. Bargaining proposals made public say the district will ask for unspecified wage concessions and furlough days from teachers and support staff.
