Info: The Stanislaus Literacy Center and Mary Stuart Rogers Foundation present "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten," based on the book by Robert Fulgham and adapted by Ernest Zulia. The cast, using a Reader's Theater format, will present this dramatic production as the highlight of the Spotlights on Reading event to benefit the Stanislaus Literacy Center. Tickets for Friday's production are $25 and include a silent auction and wine and appetizers reception. Saturday's event includes dinner preceding the show and a silent auction. STATE PARK DOCENT ORIENTATION
When: March 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or April 21, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Jack Knight Hall, near the Visitor Center
Info: Calaveras Big Trees State Park will be offering new docent orientation classes. Volunteer opportunities include:
trail patrol
greeting people in the Visitor Center
leading tours and children's programs
trail maintenance
operating the Warming Hut and leading snowshoe hikes
