What is Teens in the Newsroom?

About the Teens in the Newsroom program

The Bee's Teens in the Newsroom program was created for local high school students and aspiring journalists. Here are a few things you might not know about the program:

• The students get paid for writing stories that appear in the Buzzz section, which is published every Thursday.

• Members meet twice a month to discuss story ideas, journalism issues, and take in talks by guest speakers.

• Students' stories are edited by Bee staff members.

• If you have a story idea for the Teens in the Newsroom, e-mail teens@modbee.com and include your name and phone number.
