Brad Hawn must think voters in Modesto have short memories. Hawn says he will not accept donations from any government employee unions so he can best negotiate labor contracts on behalf of taxpayers. As a city councilman, Hawn accepted over $6,000 from government employee unions.

Hawn claims he will lead the fight for pension reform. As a councilman, Hawn did nothing to reform the pension system for eight years and voted "yes" on every negotiated labor contract. Hawn says he will stand up to special interests. In his mayoral campaign, Hawn has accepted $15,000 contribution from a real estate investor.

Modesto needs a mayor who is honest and consistent. Modesto needs to elect Garrad Marsh.
