When it comes to choosing a mayor I hope we elect the person who can do the job and while Garrad Marsh might be able to deliver, Brad Hawn surely can. Brad has proven himself in public office already and promises to fix problems that really matter to the health of the community.
The public pensions are out of control and costing Modesto millions of dollars. Garrad Marsh has aligned himself with public unions, accepting thousands of dollars from them and at a time when people everywhere are struggling to put food on their tables.
It just doesn't sit well to know that public employees are retiring with large pensions at taxpayers' expense. Hawn has courageously taken a stance against the tough issue of large pensions publicly, and I commend him for that. Hawn will get my vote for Mayor.
