-- Voters have two chances this week to speak with mayoral candidate and former Modesto Councilman Brad Hawn at meet-and-greet sessions in Modesto.

The first event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sunflower Farmers Market at 1700 McHenry Ave. in the McHenry Village shopping center. The second event is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Friday at the Subway eatery at 3501 McHenry Ave.

Hawn will be available to address questions and concerns about community issues. Hawn is running against former Councilman Garrad Marsh to be Modesto's next mayor in a special vote-by-mail runoff election being conducted through Feb. 7.
