G. Christensen of Sacramento used to frequent the now-closed La Esperanza in Davis and was hoping for the recipe for their signature dish, sombrero. He was also hoping the restaurant might have reopened or relocated so he could enjoy the dish again.

Pam and Jim Schrupp of Vacaville suggested that Christensen try Murillo's Restaurant in Vacaville at two locations, Merchant Street and Monte Vista Avenue. The Schrupps say the exact dish is served there, but it's called Paco's special and it's served in two sizes. The Schrupps used to eat lunch at La Esperanza every Friday and thought Murillo's had essentially the same menu.
