Stanislaus moving on indalex site

Stanislaus County officials are preparing to file summary abatement paperwork in court to begin demolition and cleanup at the former Indalex aluminum manufacturing plant in north Modesto.

The building has been ravaged by metal scavengers since it was abandoned because of bankruptcy.

Contractors were on the site this week to give the county bids on cleanup costs.
