Makes: 2 loaves

This recipe is from Max Foster, co-founder of Foster Farms.

• Ingredients:

½ cup brown sugar

2 cups hot water

2 packages yeast

2 teaspoons salt

½ cup cooking oil

2 eggs

6 to 7 cups flour

• Instructions:

Dissolve sugar in water. Heat to lukewarm and add yeast. Wait until yeast bubbles (three to four minutes). Add salt, oil and eggs and mix, and then add the flour, one cup at a time, until 6 cups have been incorporated into the dough. Knead about 10 minutes, using remaining flour as necessary. Cover with a cloth and place in a warm place, about 80 degrees, and let rise until double in size. Punch down and let rise again. Divide in half, form two loaves and place in greased pans. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Let loaves rise and then bake bread for 30 minutes.
