Fund-raiser was a success

On behalf of the Oakdale- Riverbank-Escalon Branch of AAUW, we thank all who supported our annual film fund-raiser Oct. 16. We raised money to send eight to 10 seventh- grade girls to Tech Trek, a science and math camp at California State University, Fresno. These girls gain a university experience, living for a week on campus with others their age and learning about science and math through hands-on activities. These girls may then be eligible to apply for our AAUW college scholarships. We are encouraging young girls to follow their dreams.
