Modesto Junior College day trip planned

Modesto Junior College's community education department plans a day trip Oct. 15 to the Mothball Fleet with lunch and a tour of Mare Island.

The trip begins with a morning boat cruise to Suisun Bay to see and learn the history of The Mothball or Ready Reserve Fleet, an assortment of ships dating back to World War II. Later, there will be a Mare Island tour and lunch at the museum. The $129 fee includes boat tour of the Mothball Fleet, lunch, tour of Mare Island and chartered bus transportation.
