The Modesto City Schools Special Education Community Advisory Committee will present parent training on understanding parental rights in the individualized education program process.

The meeting is from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Modesto City Schools Staff Development Center, 425 Locust St.

Ann Cirimele, executive director of the Family Resource Network, will speak.

The meeting is open to the public, and Spanish translation will be provided.
